Prioritize Self-Care
Lately, there has been a lot of talk about self-care and putting yourself first before anything. But what is self-care?
To answer this question – Self–care is to make a conscious choice to improve our well-being that includes everything that one can do to make themselves healthy from inside and outside. However, with the lifestyle that we’re living, we are so occupied with our routine life that we eventually tend to ignore our own health and keep it on our least priority list.
You may ask, why should we make it a vital part of life when it is just ok. Here are a few reasons why Self-care is important.
- Increased Self-Awareness:
Working on self-care requires thinking about what you really love to do. The idea of figuring out what makes you feel passionate can also help you understand yourself a lot better.
- Improved immunity:
There is evidence-based research to prove that self-care activates the parasympathetic nervous system. This helps the body to feel rejuvenated and that improves the immune system.
- Better physical health:
When you focus on relieving your stress and building a better immunity system, you will feel more physically fit.
- Give more to yourself:
When you’re good to yourself, nothing in this world can harm your self-esteem. Moreover, you can only take care of others better, if you are good to yourself.
