Want the perfect skin?
Here are a few ways to make it happen:
Drink Up: Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. A dehydrated body develops sagging and has little radiance. So if you are aiming for a bright and radiant skin, increase your water intake. Additionally, quit drinking carbonated drinks and beverages. Instead, add vegetable and fruit juices to your daily routine. The green juices, in particular, oxygenate your body, improve lymphatic drainage and hydrate your skin.
Get Away from the Sun: Our body needs Vitamin D but standing out in the sun for long periods is not going to get your skin radiate health. Whenever you step out, make sure to wear a sunscreen with an SPF 30 or higher. This is also applicable during the winter and rainy seasons. And, don’t forget to reapply the sunscreen every two hours.
Cleansers and Moisturizers: Use the right cleanser and moisturizer for your skin. Dry skin requires a milky cleanser but it is a big No for oily skin. The thumb-rule for using moisturizers is simple: Immediately after your shower and immediately before the bed. Also if you are using highly-fragrant lotions, switch them with a gentle moisturizer.
Eating Right: Your body reciprocates what you give it. This means if you are eating right, your body will show it. This is all the more true for healthy skin. Skip those junk foods and instead gorge on some walnuts and flax seeds. Both contain omega-3 fatty acid, which is important for retaining moisture in the body and for good immunity.
Not Too Much: Yes! Treat your skin as you would treat a baby’s. If you are using too many products (most products have harmful chemicals), you are contributing to making your skin lose its natural radiance.
Everyone wants a beautiful, glowing skin but not many go the extra mile. Start today by establishing good routines, keep your body hydrated and eat healthily.
Remember, your body loves to reciprocate!
All the good you give it will be given back to you.
